What the wives do

the wives of the tennis-shoed microsoft necromancers

take their children to the zoo   in bright

red hats and little pants sporting clouds

they are pale-skinned and tendered     their

husbands are stooped and forever tapping on

keyboards      the computer their husbands say

is amazing!    did you know it can replace     the sleeve

the navel      the ice cream cone

the microsoft wives are silent     their eyes

are lit     their children

with books tucked into their pores

eat live bananas     music

straight out of guitars

the microsoft wives are recalcitrant

they were looking

for love in all the wrong places

now they are

on fire
